About Dubai

Dubai is the world turned up to eleven. The tallest building, the largest mall, the most ambitious artificial islands — the city's ambition is infectious. But beyond the superlatives, there's a surprisingly warm city with incredible food, a fascinating old quarter, and a desert that will leave you speechless.

Indians are the largest expat community in Dubai, which means the food is stellar (the vegetarian options alone are worth the trip), Hindi is spoken everywhere, and the city feels both exotic and curiously familiar. Five to Seven days is ideal — enough to do the highlights without rushing.

FAQs

Common questions about Dubai

Do Indians need a visa for Dubai? +
Indians with a valid US/UK/EU/Schengen visa or UAE resident visa get visa on arrival (14 days, free). Otherwise, apply for a UAE tourist visa — costs ₹3,500–5,000 and takes 2–5 working days.
Is Dubai good for vegetarians? +
Yes. Dubai has an enormous Indian community and Indian vegetarian restaurants are everywhere. International cuisines are equally plentiful. Most hotel buffets have excellent veg options.
What is the dress code in Dubai? +
Dubai is relatively liberal for the Gulf. Malls, restaurants, and tourist areas are fine with Western clothing. At religious sites (mosques), cover shoulders and knees. On public beaches, swimwear is acceptable.
Is Dubai safe? +
Dubai is consistently rated one of the safest cities in the world. Crime is very rare. The main thing to be aware of is the heat — May to September temperatures exceed 40°C, so we recommend visiting October to April.

What travellers say about Dubai

DECEMBER 2026

"Dubai is a city that has to be seen to be believed. TripAtGo got us a room with a Burj Khalifa view and the desert safari was unreal. The hot air balloon at sunrise was the best experience I've ever had."

Rahul & Sonali

DECEMBER 2025

"4-star hotel, well-organised tours, the kids loved the aquarium and the desert safari. Good value for money. Would have liked one more free day for shopping."
