About Thailand

Thailand has been enchanting travellers for decades and shows no sign of stopping. From the frenetic energy of Bangkok's night markets to the serene beauty of Koh Lanta's deserted beaches, it packs more variety into a single country than most continents manage.

Indian travellers find Thailand enormously welcoming — the food scene is a dream (pad thai, mango sticky rice, street-side green curry), vegetarian options are widely available, and the Thai Baht means your money stretches remarkably far. Most travellers need at least 7–10 days; we'll help you use every hour well.

FAQs

Common questions about Thailand

Do Indians need a visa for Thailand? +
As of 2024, India has a special visa exemption with Thailand — Indians can enter for 30 days visa-free. Double-check current rules before travel as these can change.
Bangkok or Phuket first? +
If you have 7+ days, do both. Start with Bangkok (3 nights) for temples and food, then fly to Phuket or Koh Samui for beaches. We can plan the seamless connection.
Is Thailand safe? +
Thailand is generally safe for tourists. Be mindful in crowded areas (pickpockets), stay hydrated in the heat, and only use metered taxis or Grab (local Uber). Political situations are monitored — we'll always advise if there are concerns.
Is vegetarian food easy to find? +
Yes. In Bangkok, 'jay' (Thai vegan) restaurants are everywhere, especially near temples. In beach areas, most restaurants have vegetarian options. Indian restaurants are plentiful in tourist areas.

What travellers say about Thailand

FEBRUARY 2026

"Bangkok and Phuket in one trip — TripAtGo made the connection seamless. The Phi Phi boat tour was incredible and the hotel pick in Bangkok was exactly right. Can't wait to go back."
