About Goa

Goa is India's original beach escape — and no number of travellers have been able to dim its appeal. The beaches, from the crowded and lively Baga to the untouched solitude of Palolem, offer something for every mood. Behind the beach belt lies Old Goa — a UNESCO-listed collection of Portuguese Baroque churches from the 16th century, unlike anything else in Asia.

For Indian travellers, Goa is also the easiest international-feeling holiday without leaving the country. Seafood is extraordinary, sunsets are reliable, and the people-watching at a North Goa shack is a sport unto itself. Whether you want a party or a peaceful hammock, Goa accommodates.

FAQs

Common questions about Goa

North Goa or South Goa? +
North Goa is lively — beach shacks, nightlife, Calangute/Baga/Anjuna crowd. South Goa is quieter and more upscale — Palolem, Agonda, Colva are serene. Most of our packages spend 2–3 nights in each so you experience both.
Is Goa good for families? +
Yes, especially South Goa. The beaches are calmer, accommodation is more spacious, and the water is cleaner. Old Goa's churches and the Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary are great for kids. Avoid peak week (Christmas/New Year) for families unless you book very early.
When are the Goa beaches at their best? +
November through February is the sweet spot — the famous North-East trade winds keep temperatures at a perfect 25–28°C, and the sea is calm and clear. The December peak adds great atmosphere but also crowds and prices.

What travellers say about Goa

DECEMBER 2025

"Fifth time in Goa and the first time I felt I actually SAW the place. TripAtGo took us away from the usual Calangute circuit to the spice plantations and Old Goa — then back to the best seafood shack I've found in 20 Goa trips."
